how does it compare to the full-size artichoke on a base?
same soft grey finish and same design, 80mm shorter. it's made for layering — most people buy it to sit alongside the 280mm version or a taller vase rather than on its own.
where does it look best?
shelves, side tables and styled groups. it's an accent piece: give it something taller to sit against.
will mine look exactly like the photograph?
very close, but not identical where a glaze is reactive, speckled or graduated — those behave differently in every firing, which is the point of them. screen colours vary a little too. the dimensions on this page are accurate, so it's worth measuring your shelf before you order.
can i use it for food?
no. these are decorative pieces intended for light functional use — keys, jewellery, dried stems, that sort of thing. they aren't food safe, and they aren't dishwasher or microwave safe.
how do i clean it?
a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry it off. no abrasives, no bleach, no dishwasher — all three will dull the glaze permanently.
how is it packed for delivery?
wrapped and packed to travel. if it does arrive damaged, photograph the piece and the packaging and email home@fredahome.co.uk within 48 hours — we'll replace or refund it and cover the postage.
can i return it if it doesn't suit the room?
yes — within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging. return postage is yours unless the piece was damaged or faulty. see make a return.
