how big is it?
210mm wide, 150mm deep and 90mm tall — small enough to layer with other pieces rather than dominate.
is it meant to be uneven?
yes. the melted, irregular edge is the design — it gives the piece movement and stops it reading as a plain bowl. no two sit quite the same way.
what would i put in it?
keys by the door, jewellery on a dressing table, or nothing at all on a coffee table. it's decorative first — not for food, and not dishwasher safe.
will mine look exactly like the photograph?
very close, but not identical where a glaze is reactive, speckled or graduated — those behave differently in every firing, which is the point of them. screen colours vary a little too. the dimensions on this page are accurate, so it's worth measuring your shelf before you order.
can i use it for food?
no. these are decorative pieces intended for light functional use — keys, jewellery, dried stems, that sort of thing. they aren't food safe, and they aren't dishwasher or microwave safe.
how do i clean it?
a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry it off. no abrasives, no bleach, no dishwasher — all three will dull the glaze permanently.
how is it packed for delivery?
wrapped and packed to travel. if it does arrive damaged, photograph the piece and the packaging and email home@fredahome.co.uk within 48 hours — we'll replace or refund it and cover the postage.
can i return it if it doesn't suit the room?
yes — within 14 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging. return postage is yours unless the piece was damaged or faulty. see make a return.
how quickly will it arrive?
orders are packed and dispatched within 2–3 working days. uk delivery is free on orders of £40 or more and £3.95 under, or choose express at checkout for £5.95.
