how big is it?
210mm across and 180mm tall — substantial, with real weight to it. it's designed to hold a coffee table or a mantelpiece on its own, and it looks like an object rather than a candle when it isn't lit.
does it come in another colour?
there's also bobble rose, and it sits alongside the bobble ceramics — the lidded jar, the distressed vase and the reactive bowl — if you want to build the shape out across a room.
how do i get the best burn out of it?
on the very first burn, let the wax pool spread all the way to the edges before you put it out — usually two to three hours. wax has a memory, and that first burn sets the pattern for every one after. cut it short and you'll get a tunnel down the middle.
how should i look after it?
- trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn
- don't burn it for more than four hours at a time
- never leave a burning candle unattended, or near anything that can catch
- keep it away from draughts — they make it smoke and burn unevenly
- stop burning once about 10mm of wax is left
can i use the vessel afterwards?
yes. once it's finished, pour a little hot (not boiling) water in to loosen the last of the wax, lift it out, then wash and dry the vessel. it makes a good holder for brushes, matches or small stems.
can i return a candle i've burned?
only if it's faulty. an unopened, unused candle can come back within 14 days of delivery — see make a return.
