frequently asked

how do i get the best burn out of it?

on the very first burn, let the wax pool spread all the way to the edges before you put it out — usually two to three hours. wax has a memory, and that first burn sets the pattern for every one after. cut it short and you'll get a tunnel down the middle.

how should i look after it?
  • trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn
  • don't burn it for more than four hours at a time
  • never leave a burning candle unattended, or near anything that can catch
  • keep it away from draughts — they make it smoke and burn unevenly
  • stop burning once about 10mm of wax is left
can i use the vessel afterwards?

yes. once it's finished, pour a little hot (not boiling) water in to loosen the last of the wax, lift it out, then wash and dry the vessel. it makes a good holder for brushes, matches or small stems.

can i return a candle i've burned?

only if it's faulty. an unopened, unused candle can come back within 14 days of delivery — see make a return.

how quickly will it arrive?

orders are packed and dispatched within 2–3 working days. uk delivery is free on orders of £40 or more and £3.95 under, or choose express at checkout for £5.95.
